Wipro announced the launch of Wipro ai360, an AI-first innovation ecosystem that will integrate AI into Wipro’s every platform, tool, and solution even the solutions it offers to its clients, the company said in an official statement on July 12. The tool is a result of almost a decade-long investment.
Additionally, Wipro will invest USD 1 billion in AI over the next three years, to enhance and advance their AI capabilities. The investment will also be focused on expanding Wipro’s AI and data analytics solutions including training all the employees on AI.
Wipro ai360 will help unleash a new era of value, productivity, and commercial opportunities through the application of AI and generative AI,” Wipro said in a statement. CEO and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, Thierry Delaporte said, “Especially with the emergence of generative AI, we expect a fundamental shift ahead, for all industries.”
Wipro ai360 will engage thirty thousand Wipro experts in data and analytics, and AI with the tech company’s tech and advisory ecosystem from major business lines. These experts will be from global business lines across data, analytics, and AI; cloud and partnerships; design and consulting; cybersecurity; as well as engineering. Wipro will use capabilities from the aforementioned segments to build new solutions and embed AI into all practices across the business worldwide.
Wipro’s investment will further help advance Wipro’s data and analytics solutions and R&D platforms, and enhance cloud and consulting capabilities. Furthermore, the company said, it will help accelerate technology start-ups through Wipro Ventures. The company is looking forward to launching a GenAI Seed Accelerator Program, this program will provide training to GenAI start-ups to become enterprise-ready.
To achieve the above goals, the company will train all of its employees on AI fundamentals and educate them to the responsible use of AI over the course of the next 12 months. To align the same, Wipro will develop a curriculum that will map out a thorough AI journey for different roles.
