The Cross-platform messaging app developed by Google which is originally called ‘Google Hangouts’ has updated its latest version in which its users will no longer be able to use the ‘group video calling’ functionality on the Android application and web version on the Google Hangouts app.
However, the American multinational technology company’s Google Hangouts new changes are only applicable on the latest version of the application and if the user hasn’t updated its Hangouts app on the android mobile phone, then he or she will, however, can still use the feature.
According to the reports by Android Police, the end-users who make an attempt to create a group video call operating the video button on the Google Hangouts. In addition to, for them a Google Meet URL link is immediately dispensed in the chat for everybody to connect the group meeting in the web browser.
Prior to this month, Google Meets declared that its web variant will hold up background images during conferencing, the same as its rival ‘Zoom’.
Furthermore, in Google Meets new feature, the by-users can upload their own images or select from a pre-loaded option from Google.
Besides, this new video calling feature is quite similar to the American online social media and social networking service Facebook’s Messenger Room characteristic and the Room shortcut is available on WhatsApp, which would not permit the users to host a video-meeting about the app itself. It will, however, redirect or turn back to Facebook’s messenger rooms.
Lastly, one of the big five technology companies in the United States IT industry ‘Google’ has been liberating a series of new features for its Google Meet in order to promote an improved by-users experience on the application.
