Bharti Airtel launches Cloud-Based Communication Programme for Business
On Monday, the global telecommunications services company ‘Bharti Airtel Limited’ entered the expeditiously-growing cloud communications market with the set-up of business-centric ‘Airtel IQ’. However, the global telecom service ‘Airtel’ is the first telecom operator to enter this segment and therefore expects that its entry will grow the market at over 20 per cent year-one-year.
Airtel IQ, a cloud-based Omni-channel communications platform targets to enable brands to deepen engagement with customers through secure and timely communication. The company is intending to tap the $1 billion cloud communications market with the launch of Airtel IQ for enterprises and small-medium enterprises. The manifesto, now commercially available and runs on a pay-as-you-go model meaning that the costs for enterprises would depend on the consumption levels.
Director and CEO Ajay Chitkara (Airtel Business) said the new platform could translate into 30-40 per cent cost reduction for enterprises as compared to the traditional models and terming the move as a “game-changer” for the fast-evolving Indian enterprise communication segment.
Besides, Bharti Airtel looks forward to large call centre ecosystem, internet companies, e-commerce, start-ups, banks, and those into producing and distribution to be early adopters of the program and given their need for Omni-channel communications.
Moreover, the telecom operator ‘Bharti Airtel’ is a large competitor in the business-to-business (B2B) connectivity space and serves over one million corporations with a portfolio that spans connectivity, cloud, security, and collaboration, and data centre solutions. The businesses, however, are progressively looking to cloud-based digital platforms to engage with users and Airtel IQ is manufactured to raise the bar.
The organization focuses to extinguish the requirement for multiple communication platforms for different channels and already companies including Swiggy, Havells, Dr. Lal Path Labs, and many more have signed up as customers for Airtel IQ in the beta phase.
