Amazon Collaborates with IRCTC to provide Train Ticket Booking Service
On Wednesday, Amazon India said it has joined hands with IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) to offer reserved train ticket booking service and provide their customers with this facility on its platform. The train ticket booking feature is only available on amazon’s website and on the app for android. However, to make the ticket booking process more convenient for the customers, amazon brags of several accommodating features like including one-click payment, no additional service charges. Also, the customers will get cashback offers on their first-time train ticket booking and the customers can avail up to Rs. 120 on their bookings.
Additionally, On the Amazon App with this new feature, the customers will be able to check quota and seat availability across all train classes and use the Amazon Pay Balance wallet to pay for the train tickets. Also, the customers will be able to check the PNR status for ticket booked and will also get an instant refund in case of cancellation or booking failures to customers paying through amazon pay balance. Just like any other travel booking portal, customers can put in their travel dated and desired destinations and then select an appropriate train trip from the list that comes up. The page also consists of a QR code that can be scanned to gain quick ingress to the train ticket booking portal on mobile.
Prime members will get a profit of 12 percent cashback (up to Rs.120) for their first bookings and customers will get a 10 percent cashback (up to 100) on their first train ticket booking service, says e-retailer. The company said that the offer will only be accessible for a limited period of time.
